Liverpool in the Premier League: Did Diego Jota’s goal – Was it offside?

Chris Sutton, a former winner of the Premier League, said the law was well known among the players.
“He is really intelligent by Luis Diaz, because he knows he is Once once Tarkowski played the ball,” he told BBC Sport.
“I don’t think change the law is a good idea. It is more complicated than this scenario, because without having this subjective element, you would return where everything is offside.
“If you are Everton, you feel slightly done – I understand. But it cannot be in black and white unless you want to return to the days when someone was offside, then that was the call.”
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, the former left -back of Liverpool Stephen Warnock had a different point of view.
“This is a problem within the rules book and it is here that it derives,” he said.
“Because they look through the list of things and go, ‘He was interfering with the game? No.’
“Well, it’s actually if you played the game and understand the game.
“If you are a couple of meters behind me and I am defending the edge of the box, my body is always halfway, thinking:” Where are you and what are you doing? ”
“You will come and pull in front of me? Are you going to make a move and you will try to put yourself at your side? So you always react to you. My body always feels you and my century is always designed towards you and on the ball, so I constantly have my head on a jury, so you are hitting me.
“And if you entered and talked to all the former professional players within the training centers or wherever they are and said ‘Is it active in this position?’ Everyone would say “he is hitting me, 100%”.
“But there is a sort of list of ticks within the offside of the offside, and this is a problem. Sometimes you have to use common sense and you have to understand the game.”
