LPGA: Charley Hull Two back shots to the Ford Championship while Lilia Vu Guida

England Charley Hull is two shots from the command to the Ford Championship in Arizona after loading a 69 69 in the second round.

The night leader slipped behind the American Lilia Vu, which hit a 64 to go to 14 below for the tournament in the phase halfway.

The two -time champion Vu has made eight birds to catapult itself free from the field, with his compatriot Nelly Korda, the Danna bed koerstz Madsen and the Thailand Atthaya “Jeeno” Thitikul together with Hull out of 12 below.

Hull followed his opening 63 with four birds and a single Bogey while he was struggling to keep up with Vu in windy conditions.

“I felt like I played solid enough today,” he said. “I threw some good Putts and I missed some that I probably had to throw, but today it was a little windy out there.

“It was a little more complicated for some holes, but I’m quite happy and I can’t wait for the weekend to arrive.”

The reigning champion and the Korda world number one is well positioned on his return from a six -week break, jumping in dispute with a 65, while Thitikul equaled Vu 64 to keep up with the leaders.
