Magnetic Stefi wins Doncaster Mile to give Bjorn Baker a moment of title

“I am very lucky. I am spending some good days. Even magnetic stefi won the Stradroke and Brisbane cup (it was special).
“But in the end, I had to win an iconic Sydney race. I won the Winx Stakes and I won the Tancred. So, this is what makes it special.”
“We have Everest in mind, we thought about the hunter.”

“Jason Collett, it’s a bit like me, needed a great victory during the championships.”
Magnetic Stefi was eighth in the Canterbury Stakes and sixth in George Ryder to start this campaign.
“The last time (out), I was a little disappointed by her,” Baker said.
“He worked great, he designed a gate today. Jason, excellent race and is hard. We know he performs third.”

In the meantime, a tear Michael Hawkes was ready for the calls of Everest sluters after Briasa was up to expectations with a 1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) victory in Randwick on Saturday.
The four -year -old castrone, who raided home from too far for the fourth in the galaxy, was put in a perfect point behind the leaders of Tyler Schiller and fueled the line for a head on the head over the overpass.
It was a seventh nine departure victory for Briasa, who now seems to ensure a place in $ 20 million in Everest in October.
“Everyone who know me learned how much I evaluated this horse,” said Hawkes.

“(Owner Ian Johnson) He went down to the stables even before he ran with his son Anthony and said: son is the horse I dreamed of all my life? I said, Lord, this will be the best horse you ever had.
“As I said to some of the press in the interviews I did, if it is not today, it will arrive.”
He said that the next goal for Briasa, who was second Saturday, could be the stake in two weeks.

“We first wanted to pass today,” he said.
“We have in mind the Everest, we had it in mind from the hunter (who won in November).
“In reality I was abroad and Wayne said, he said, what do you think of Newcastle? I said, friend, will win. He only won. He said you can’t continue making statements. I said, I’m telling you, he will win.
“I told him again, he will win today. I don’t know, the ceiling is so high.”
As for Everest, he said: “I am not worried in the least. There will be people they call.
“It was talked about. We talked about it. Ian Johnson, it’s simply fantastic. They confidence in us. (Son) Anthony (Johnson) just said: do everything you need to do.”
Private Harry is the only horse to officially guarantee a slot so far for this year’s Everest.
