Mats Hummels: the former German defender of Germany winning the Rome World Cup to retire at the end of the season

The Hummels born in Bergisch Gladbach arrived through the youth ranks of Bayern Munich and made its first team debut for the 18 -year -old Bavarian Club in May 2007.
He joined Borussia Dortmund January 2008, initially on loan, and continued to become a fundamental part of the team that won the Bundesliga under Jurgen Klopp twice.
Hummels returned to Bayern in 2016, where he won three other titles of the German League, then he returned to Dortmund for a second spell three years later.
The central defender played twice in the Champions League final, in 2013 and 2024, and was on the losing side with Dortmund in both occasions.
Hummels played 508 games for Dortmund and 118 others for Bayern.
He joined Rome in 2024 with a free transfer and so far he has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorossi this season.
