Miller Gardner Death: Investigation Focus moves on a possible food poisoning

The focus of the investigation on the cause of the death of the former New York Yankees The son of Star Brett Gardner in Costa Rica moved to possible food poisoning, a judicial official told Fox News.
Miller Gardner, 14, died during the holidays with his family in Central America Country on March 21st. The Gardner family made a statement through the Yankees on Sunday announcing their tragic loss of Sunday.

Marisel Rodriguez Solis, a press leader for the investigative police on the judgment of the Costa Rica (OIJ), told Fox News that the investigation has moved to a possible food poisoning as a more probable cause, but that asphyxiation has not yet been excluded. The results of the forensic and pathological tests may require one to four months to return.
Costa Rica officials have yet to interview the Gardner family from Tuesday afternoon.
“With heavy hearts we are saddened in announcing the disappearance of our youngest child, Miller,” said the Gardner family during the weekend. “He was 14 years old and left us too early after having fallen together with many other family members during the holidays,” reads their statement. “At this point we have so many questions and so few answers, but we know that he died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday 21 March.
“Miller was a son and brother loved and we cannot yet understand our life without his contagious smile. He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family and friends. He lived his life at the most every single day.”

THE The Gardner family remained At the Hotel del Mar in Manuel Antonio and eaten in an Italian restaurant in a hotel near Thursday. All four family members started feeling bad at 23:00 local time in the structure in which they stayed.
The Hotel Arenas del Mar called a doctor to give them medicines to help with stomach problems. The next morning, Miller Gardner was found dead with traces of vomiting.
“Our hotel protocol at the Arenas of the Mar does not allow the hotel staff to provide drugs or treatments to guests,” said the Mar of the Mar in a note. “The hotel staff immediately sent a medical team, including an authorized doctor, who arrived to manage the emergency situation. Any medical assistance to the family was made by medical professionals. Our staff did not administer any medical care.
“Our number one priority is currently respecting family privacy.”
The officials interviewed the employees of the doctor, hotel and restaurant and are examining the security movies.
Solis argued that, during his almost two decades with Oij, he did not remember anyone in Costa Rica who died of food poisoning.

Brett Gardner played for the Yankees from 2008 to 2021. He was in the team when they won a World Series in 2009.
