MotoGP: Francesco Bagnaia takes victory in America after Marc Marquez Crash

Francesco Bagnaia took advantage of an accident Marc Marquez to win the main MotoGP race of the Americas’ Grand Prix.
The Spanish Marquez slipped out of the track and went down near the back to the nine years of 19th lap, leaving the pilot colleague Ducati Bagnaia to move in the head and continue to claim the victory.
“I’m super happy,” said Bagnaia Italiana. “What a fantastic feeling to be back on the top step of the podium after a difficult period.”
Marquez entered the third round of the series after winning the sprint and main races in the previous two rounds in Thailand and Argentina.
He had also obtained the victory in Saturday’s sprint race in Austin, Texas, but his inability to finish the main race concluded his 100% start for the season.
Alex Marquez was second and moved to the overall advantage of the MotoGP ranking on 87 points, with his older brother Marc Marquez behind him out of 86 and Bagnaia third with 75.
Fabio Di Giannantonio delle Raisses VR46 concluded the race in the United States in third place.
