“Suddenly the entire building started moving, immediately there were screams and panic,” said Fraser Morton, a Scottish tourist who at the time was in a Bangkok shopping center.
“At the beginning I just started walking calmly, but then the building really started moving. People were running wrong in mobile stairs, a lot of fun and crash in the shopping center.”
Quake felt in all regions of Thailand, the authorities say
The Department of prevention of Thailand catastrophes said that the earthquake was warned in almost all regions of the country.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in central Myanmar, about 50 km (30 miles) east of the city of Monywa. In the capital Naypyitaw, the earthquake damaged the religious sanctuaries, sending parts that overturned on the ground and some houses.
Further reports of damages were not immediately available by Myanmar, which is involved in a civil war.
