Nascar penalizes the pilot Xfinity Sammy Smith for the wreck in the last lap in Martinsville

The Nascar analyzed the pilot of the Xfinity Sammy Smith 50 points series and fined him Tuesday after intentionally destroying Taylor Gray from the command in the last round of Saturday’s race in Martinsville Speedway, Nascar announced Tuesday.

Smith also crashed because of the accident, which triggered an accumulation of more cars, while the fifth pilot Austin Hill was stuck for the victory.

The race, which turned into an approximate driving demolition derby derby deal, has been widely done in the Nascar community as shameful and embarrassing. This feeling extended beyond the Smith accident at the finish. He aroused an ongoing discussion among the conducting veterans on the lack of respectful and ethical races among the young runners in the second highest series of the Nascar, with some who asked officials to intervene and send a message on what was acceptable.

Smith, who leads Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports team, received the same penalty points as the cup series Austin Cindic, who intentionally destroyed a competitor last month on the circuit of the road route of the Americas. Drivers can only earn a maximum of 60 points in a race, so 50 points are a significant blow.

Gray, who had been annoyed by Smith after losing the possibility of winning his first career race, also received a $ 5,000 fine for dealing with Smith inside the Infield Medical Center. The same fine was also given to another pilot, Jeb Burton, for the same reason.

Jr Motorsports will not appeal to Smith’s penalty.
