NCAA transfer portal: Tom Izzo del Michigan State annoyed the questions

Michigan State Spartans The men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo seemed to be annoyed for a question on the opening of the transfer portal Tuesday while his team was preparing for the Sweet 16.
The NCAA transfer portal was open on Monday, with several moves already in progress. While Izzo turned to the media on the imminent team March Madness Matchup against Ole Miss, of course he received a question on the portal but took a controversial tone.

He said he was “popped up” that the journalist asked him the question.
“I don’t have to do at all. The only thing I would like to face is that I will not run away the players. So you have to have points to collect transfers,” said Izzo of the program that manages the portal, through the Detroit free press. “And maybe we would have one (spot) if everyone returned. Maybe we wouldn’t do it. If you have no points, why do you do it? In order to improve someone? Can I get a better girl, why is one I have not good enough? I don’t know, get a better wife, why isn’t what I have enough?
“It is not a charged question, it’s something that I really have zero interest to answer, because I think it is ridiculous that the NCAA or any other entity puts together these two things that people like you have to ask these questions. And I appreciate that you have to ask them. And I get angry when people talk to our children.

“I saw what happened in a school. The teams have the opportunity to play in the Sweet 16, and people are entering the transfer portal. Children have to do what they have to do, and they are not really doing what they have to do. They are doing what their parents or their agents are telling them to do because they are still means, they still go to do my practice.
Izzo later added that he is trying to focus on the preparation Ole Miss And I didn’t want to “cheat” his players.
Izzo is one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time. He was with the program from the 1995-96 season and led the team to a national championship in 2000.

The Spartans have not been able to reach Final Four in recent years. The last time the team arrived so far was in 2019, when he lost against Texas Tech.
