Notre Dame Transfer Olivia Miles undertakes to TCU, for reports: how the offense of Horned Frogs elevates

The guard of the Star Olivia Miles has engaged in TCU, according to different relationships, combining one of the best players available in the transfer portal with a team that comes out of its best season in the history of the program.
In four seasons with Notre Dame, Miles blossomed in one of the best guards in the country. Last season he recorded an average of 15.4 points in his career, showing significant development in his 3-point shot while he went from 22.8 percent shooting in 2022-23 to 40.6 percent last season. Twice he has been named an AP All-American team and has been Three times All-Acc Guard in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
Miles were expected to be a leading choice in the Wnba draft next week, until he chose to return to school a few days after the conclusion of the Irish season. Miles has a year of remaining eligibility because he has lost the 2023-24 season with a torn ACL.
Miles joins a team from Frogs Horned who won a 34 -games school record and moved to Eight Eight for the first time. TCU beat Miles and Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 a few weeks ago to move 40 minutes from a final place of four.
On3 was the first to report the news about Miles’ commitment.
Miles can raise his game in the offense focused on the TCU guard
Since the beginning of the process, the TCU seemed to be a natural landing point for miles. The coach Mark Campbell and the Cuckold Ranes perform a professional -style offense, which has shown to allow the lead guards to thrive. Miles certainly hopes that Campbell can replicate the success that Hailey Van Lith’s guard had had last season.
After a disappointing season at the LSU, Van Lith moved to TCU, established the score of the program and assist the record and won the big 12 players of the year. TCU also won the titles of Big 12 Regular Season and Tournament for the first time. Van Lith will be selected for the draft next week, probably in the first two rounds, following its extraordinary season.
The cuckold frogs manage a heavy Pick-and-Roll system that depends on the guards that can create screens and get downhill. Campbell tries to surround them with 3 and D wings, a four section and a physical center in the middle. Miles will slide in the role of lead ball handle and will have the opportunity to dictate the offense of TCU. Like Van Lith, it is also well positioned to be one of the faces of this sport in Fort Worth.
While Miles would have been a high -level selection in the draft, returning to school, he should also improve his physical health in Fort Worth. Having lost the 2023-24 season due to an injury, he said Atletico During the Notre Dame tournament race in Birmingham that is not close to where he wants to be post-injury.
“My physical shape could be better,” Miles said. “This injury is a long, long process. Even after you are healed, making the rest of your body recover. I would say that they are not even 75 percent of the way.”
TCU continues to build through the portal
Few coaches have been more active in the transfer portal in the last seasons of Campbell, while reconstructing the Hurned Frogs program bringing university players experts in the program. Having already added Madison Conner, Sedona Prince and Agnes-Emma Nnopu before the 2023-24 countryside, Campbell recruited Wing Taylor Bigby, the guard Donovyn Hunter and Van Lith for the start of last season. TCU had no freshmen in his list a year ago. Of the above group, only Bigby and Hunter should return next year.
“People asked for a lot on how we were able to get the right portal,” said Campbell Atletico In March. “(We) We enhance the culture and the locker room (right).”
These additions helped the program to reach its successful historical level last season in what was only the second year of Campbell with the school. TCU went 1-17 in Big 12 in 2022-23, the year before his arrival.
During the NCAA tournament, Campbell underlined the importance of adding through the portal.
“The freshmen are moving away from home for the first time and are trying to understand the life of college and the grounding of university athletics,” he said. “The children of the portal have been there, they did it. They understand what they have to do and what they are subscribing.”
The Horned Frogs will have three freshmen on the next season-Versatile German wing Clara Bielefeld, 6 feet-7 centers Emily Hunter and Sarah Portlock of 6 feet-8-ma expect TCU to add the most experienced collegiates through the portal while Miles will raise the program ceiling.
