Olivia Clark column: Euro preparation, Ladd League and Nations a

We went back to the field after our opening games of the nations and everyone is in a good mood.
The game of Sweden was fantastic with which to be involved, we were disappointed not to win, but their ranking do not lie and it was nice to get a result against a high -level nation.
I think we produced a good performance and this came out of the back of the game in Italy where we were disappointed to lose 1-0.
Of course, we enter these games by targeting six points. We do not feel out of place in the Nations League A.
Individually, now we have players who play in some of the greatest world championships and I think this helps us to convince us as a team that we can be competitive against anyone.
We played many better nations, like the United States and produced good performances but we have not achieved the results, but now I think that the change of mentality is that we believe we can compete with the best.
Rhian Wilkinson has helped with this, but there is also a balance that we have a perspective on what we have done in the past. We tend to be always better in the second game also in the Nations League.
We are certainly becoming more comfortable with the ball. In one of our previous designs, against England at the Sta Mary stadium, which was before my time, England had many shots.
Now we are more comfortable and against Sweden I really didn’t have a clear possibility of saving. We are not just clinging for one point. We are competitive and we are trying to win the games.
