O’Shea’s Guineas module has the linebacker ready to shine in Doncaster

“What I would say is that the things we can control, we have under control,” he said. “It is a very fit and healthy horse. That we are quite good, we will determine it on Saturday. But as I said, the preparation went exactly as we would like.
“Saturday is passing a nice pair of easy days in the race. We have a horse in great shape, the pilot is in great shape, the stable is very relaxed with its preparation.”
The preparation of King of Thunder for the 2 million dollar Australian derby (2400 m), however, was a different story.
With the tip day of the target last weekend and moved to Tuesday, King of Thunder – and others – will have only four days to recover from Tulloch Stakes (2000m).
King of Thunder arrived late with a strong race towards the outside to finish a third near Tuesday, and O’Shea was happy with the effort.

“He was strong through the line, he retired well and this was a great success for Saturday,” he said. “I think we will have good condition. I don’t think there is any problem there.
“I don’t think there is any problem for him during the trip. He is performing his race plan much better now as a three -year -old boy older.
“We can go to the race on Saturday knowing that we have a horse in shape that will be more suitable on the ground, which will make a strong and a half mile, so we can’t wait for the day to arrive.”
King of Thunder, with Lloyd to ride from the barrier one, was a possibility of $ 14. The chris Waller Aeliana foal was the favorite of $ 3.20.
“The foal is good,” said O’Shea. “She was very good the other day. But she is good. She started the favorite in a Victoria Derby. She didn’t do well there. Saturday she will be fine.”
O’Shea believed that his best possibility on the day was Polimnia in Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m). He broke with a dominant victory in Hawkesbury the last departure after the second classified in the Warwick Farm Super Maidens.
“Probably our favorite runner for the day would be Polimnia,” he said. “It was a foal that was very unfortunate during his career and the other day we sent him to kill, and he had a killing. And he thinks it is a little everything now.
“Maybe we were dealing with a sprinter, and it is quite evident that he wants to overcome a little soil.”
