The Washington Capitan Captain Alex Ovechkin scored his 893 and 894th goal of his career in a 5-3 victory over Chicago. Ovechkin has now tied the NHL record of all times by Wayne Gretzky.
Another special moment awaits whether and winning Owhkin scores his 895th goal to beat one of the hockey records that seemed uncommon. But the ability to celebrate home with past and present capital players and combines Gretzky has made a time when Ovechkin will never forget.

“He wants to beat the record with a goalkeeper in the fold, I appreciate,” said Cavalry. “He told me that on the bench, and I just wanted to confirm that he did not want to go out. And it’s difficult for us as coaches because I just wanted to insure me at that moment: triple, at home. And he didn’t want to go out and score on an empty net to beat the record. There were six games left, and he wanted to beat the record and have that moment when he is shooting a goalkeeper past.”
