Pakistan against Ireland: “confident” visitors before qualifying the World Cup, says Captain Gaby Lewis

The captain of Ireland Gaby Lewis says that his team feels “very confident” before their next qualifying event of the World Cup hatred in Pakistan.
Ireland will take part in the six -team qualification tournament, which runs from Wednesday 9 April to Friday 18 April.
They will face Pakistan, the Western Indies, Bangladesh, Thailand and Scotland in Round-Robin format.
The first two teams will qualify for the world cup with eight teams in September and Lewis believes that Ireland is in a good place for their first game against Pakistan on Wednesday.
“We are very sure to go to this qualifier. We had an excellent preparation that led to it with a good training field in Dubai, and we worked very hard to acclimatize the heat,” he said.
“We are trying not to make too much pressure on ourselves. It is mainly of going out, having fun and playing with our aggressive nature – so we hope that the results take care of yourself.”
Ireland has not qualified for a world cup heard since 2005 and second in the qualification of the T20 World Cup last year after losing against Scotland in the final.
Amy Hunter and Jane Maguire returned to the team after injuries, while Kia McCartney received her first call.
Before their open against Pakistan, Ed Joyce’s team played two heating games, against the Western Indies and Thailand, with the handyman Laura Delary that marked half a century.
Lewis believes that Delany will be the key to Ireland’s hopes to end up between the first two and qualify for the tournament in India.
“He made brilliantly in the first two heating games. It has also been fantastic for us in the last 12 months, so I can’t wait to see it with Mazza and the ball in this qualifying tournament.”
