Paris Saint-Germain owners explore the agreement for the Spanish team Malaga

Paris Saint-Germain owners are exploring an agreement for the purchase of a second level clubs Malaga.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), led by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, also owns 22 % of the Portuguese Club Braga and has placed in play in the Formula 1 Audi team and in the NBA Washington Wizards team.

Was confirmed to Atletico That the group is interested in adding Malaga, with a spokesman who says: “Qsi is exploring a series of investment opportunities in Europe and America currently”.

Part of Malaga’s attraction is the La Rosaleda stadium of 30,000 club capabilities which is a host for the 2030 World Cup.

Malaga is owned by 49 % of hotels and the Blue Bay real estate group, while the businessman of Qatar Abdullah at Thani has the remaining 51 %. The club is currently in administration and under judicial control.

Malaga has endured a couple of tumultuous years. After spending the best part of two decades in La Liga, they were relegated by the maximum Spanish flight for the Segunda division (second Spanish level) in 2018 and in 2023, they went down to the third level.

Now they have returned to the second level and they sit 15th, seven points away from the relegation area.
