“Part of the family” – Wolves “extraordinary inversion under Vitor Pereira

Sunday’s victory was the first time since March 2022 that Wolves scored four or more goals in a championship game in Molineux, so it was suitable that Matheus Cunha scored the final goal on his return to the side.
The Brazil striker came out of the bench to return from a suspension of four games, and to the 86th minute Lucas Bergvall expropriated before passing beyond Guglielmo Vicario to conclude the victory.
Cunha was the best player of the wolves this season, although in truth he has not been lost.
The Pereira team took 10 points from the four league games that were without him, scoring six goals along the way.
However, the way in which the 25 -year -old increases both his teammates and supporters is undeniable.
This week has annoyed some Wolves fans with a post on social media – since it was canceled – which mentioned the summer exit.
“I will follow my dreams, not yours. So you’re fine,” we read.
Cunha seemed to apologize to the supporters when he celebrated his goal, making a gesture of prayer before indicating his heart.
“He knows his quality, he knows that the team was playing good games and winning (without him),” said Pereira.
“At the right time we need him he said ‘yes, I’m here to help the team’.”
The wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen – who scored four league goals in the absence of Cunha and added a fifth in four games on Sunday – greeted Cunha as “probably the best player I have ever seen”, adding: “He is also such a good man.
“If he can do the right thing outside football, it’s better for him. Returning has meant a lot for him. It was our best player this season, so I’m very happy for him.”
