Peter Dutton, Anthony Albanese targeted in “serious accident”

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese revealed that the authorities launched legal proceedings to protect it after a “serious accident”, since it emerged that a Brisbane teenager had presumably planned to damage the leader of the opposition Peter Dutton in a terrorist attack.

Albanian said he contacted Dutton to discuss the alleged terrorist plot, reported for the first time by The Australian Thursday.

Albanian told Darwin’s journalists that “it is a fact that the number of threats that have been made to parliamentarians has increased in recent times and that has been reported by the appropriate authorities”.

“I myself have been the subject of a series of problems, at least one of which is before the legal processes at the moment.

“There was a rather serious accident.”

Albanian said he had confidence in the Australian Federal Police ability to protect parliamentarians, since he noticed an increase in politicians’ security protections during the federal election campaign.

Dutton echoed to the Observations of Albanians to the police, saying that he trusted the FP to protect him and his family and had not been advised to commit himself to less people or to reduce his public commitment during the campaign.

“I am incredibly grateful to the FP that my family is safe,” he told Perth.

“One day I never felt dangerous in this work, in particular with the protection of the FP. It did not prevent me from doing anything, and it won’t do it in this campaign.”
