Peter Dutton lashes the Victorian government for crime

Peter Dutton accused Jacinta Allan of having chaired a disorder government that he was unable to hold back a police commissioner after reciting the best policeman Rick Nugent to apply to stay in the role.

“It is a sign that the government is in the real problem and the wheels are falling,” Dutton said to ABC Melbourne Radio on Wednesday, suggesting that Nugent had not been “encouraged to stay”.

“I think there are very significant problems at the moment,” Dutton said. “The Victorians feel it. They can perceive that with the latter modification, that many fundamental errors and problems at the center of the government occur.”

Dutton said that the federal government has huge levers to attract crime in states like Victoria and accused Albanian of not having done it.

“The government has huge levers to pull. For example, we have control of our boundaries, so through our policy, we can be responsible for the arrival stop. We can be responsible for stopping illegal tobacco on the way,” he said.

“There are laws consistent at national level that we can defend on a federal level and coordinate with the states.

“We have implemented a plan, which we think will have a huge effect as in some other jurisdictions in preventing young people from carrying knives and machette at night.
