Police officers of the NSW presumably enjoyed free services at Eddie Hayson Brothel

During a 2016 press conference, Hayson said that judges, police officers and other people of influence participated in his brothel. When he was asked if he had ever tried to use their participation as a lever on them, he replied: “No, certainly not”.

Hayson’s press conference was held to deny the accusations of having been involved in fixing the matches of the rugby championship. He agreed on his press conference that he had provided free sex for footballers and jockeys, but denied expecting something in return.

“This is how I was promoting my business,” said Hayson. “Word of mouth is a very powerful tool.”

Hayson has never been accused of setting up the games and there have been no discoveries against him.
