Qualifications of the World Cup from women’s cricket: Kathryn Bryce affects 91 but Scotland loses in Pakistan

A magnificent 91 by Captain Kathryn Bryce was not enough for Scotland while falling to a loss of six WICKETs in Pakistan to the qualifications of the women’s World Cup.
With the match in Lahore shortened to 32 over after a delay in the rain, Bryce was launched by the last ball of the Scottish inning, setting a target of 186-9.
Having beaten the western indies in their opening match, the Scots have threatened another disturbance.
Ailsa Lister struck five four in his 31st, while the WICKETKEEPER SARAH BRYCE contributed with 21 with the Mazza and took two first stumps to leave Pakistan on 36-2.
Bowler Chloe Abel claimed his second WICKET to stop the Open Muneeba Ali on 71.
However, Aliya Riaz led the house of the host nation with eight balls to lose, hitting an unbeaten 68 and blocking a ball without four to seal the victory.
That was the 21st extra granted by the Scottish attack.
Pakistan opens the road with two wins from two, while Scotland is in action against Thailand on Sunday.
