Rory Mcilroy at Masters: World number two who deals with the elbow issue before Augusta National

The world number two Rory Mcilroy claims to deal with an elbow problem in view of the Masters next week.
The Irish North concluded fifth place at the Houston Open on Sunday after an impressive you are under the final round of 64, but said that his elbow had “disturbed” him.
The Masters, who is the only one of the four Major of the Golf that Mcilroy has not yet won, takes place in Augusta National in Georgia from 10 to 13 April.
“My right elbow has annoyed me a little, so maybe I will take a treatment and I will assure me that it goes well in Augusta,” said the 35 year old to The Golf Channel.
“I have my coach Michael Bannon coming (Monday), we will do some work and we will make sure everything is in good shape for a week.”
Mcilroy, whose last great victory has arrived at the 2014 United States PGA of the United States, is trying to become the sixth player to complete a great career Grand Slam in Augusta.
He notoriously left a end of the final lead in 2011 before ending up linked for the 15th and was second behind Scottie Scheffler three years ago.
The four-time main champion had a strong start until 2025 with victories on the PGA Tour at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the players’ championship.
“It was a solid week,” added Mcilroy to his fifth place in Texas, which included two 64 rounds.
“(I) I still don’t think my game is 100% under the control that I would like, but it’s nice to have a week to work on some things.”
