Sam Kerr will remain the captain of Australia after football in Australia excludes further disciplinary actions

Kerr, who has not played since the end of 2023 after breaking the front crusader ligament during training in January 2024, said: “I recognize that the leadership means being aware of our actions both inside and off the pitch.
“I am proud of the Matilda, the role I played as a member of that team and everything we represent and I am committed to learning from this experience.
“Going on, I focus on doing my part to make sure to become even stronger together and I can’t wait to have the opportunity to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-form.”
Kerr, who joined Chelsea in 2019, the same year in which Australian captain was appointed, returned to individual training in January.
Although he is not yet fit to play with the games, he joined Matilda’s training camp for their next plants against South Korea.
Kerr made his debut in Australia at just 15 years old.
