Scotland vs Germany: hosts can call “superpower”, says Sophie Howard

“I have seen them for many, many years and I believe that they don’t know as much as we do for them – and this can be our superpower on Friday.
“Go always wanting to win, because we play football otherwise? We are fully aware that a lot must be fine for us to go out on top.
“I am convinced that we can perform and compete with Germany, one of the best nations. We just have to be the best.”
Scotland has lost the last three games in Finland, Austria and the Netherlands and could do with a victory for morale.
The significant scalp of Germany would certainly adapt to that category, even if Howard is not working too much to the results at all costs.
“What we need is to build internally,” he said. “What happens externally with the results is sometimes secondary, because we must rely on performance to make it sustainable.
“A unique result will not solve the problems and will not report conviction. A result can help you, but let’s see every day what we put and this is more precious than anything else.”
