There was also a warning for strong winds for the strength of Gale along the coast of the new South Wales and further north, with slight flood warnings along some rivers in the north-east of the state.

“With that low pressure system that is formed just off the Wollongg coast, the winds are really starting to increase along the southern coast of the new South Wales,” as he said.

“We have seen gusts of about 90 kilometers per hour both for the Illawarra coast last night and also in the southern parts of Sydney and this morning – we saw a ride of wind of 98 kilometers per hour in botany and more than 70 kilometers per hour along the port of Sydney”.

During the night, the slopes of the state to the north-east, north-western and the North-North coast received more than 50 millimeters of rain, while the Illawarra coast has had more than 100 millimeters and Sydney has seen from five to 15 millimeters in the last 24 hours.

There was also a warning for coastal dangers including dangerous surf.

“So this low pressure system is generating very large waves and along the southern and central coast of New South Wales,” as he said.

“This means that it will create dangerous conditions for those who are along the beach in the shoreline, including coastal erosion and very large waves off the coast of five meters, making things very dangerous in the water”.
