“Saturday Night Live” has targeted the new tariff policy of President Donald Trump and the growing recourse against Tesla in a pungent political sketch this weekend, coined a new phrase to deride the President’s economic prospects: Magda – “make America Great Depression again”.
“We are (going to) to do Magda,” said the cast member James Austin Johnson, resuming his role as Trump.
“Making the great depression of America again. It will be better than fantastic, it will be a fantastic and incredible depression.”
The cold open sketch began with Trump who swept away the recent turbulence of the market caused by its proposed rates, claiming that it was “all part of the plan” and walking down: “There is no place to go if not below.”
