Some stations that approach all capacity during the top hour

The latest figures show that the subway trains retire from the Epping station were on average 67 % between 8:00 and 9:00 on weekdays last month. The trains departing the Macquarie University and Macquarie Park stations were 66 and 67 %respectively.

The agency calculates an extra 14 trains if the frequency of services had increased every three minutes during peaks on weekdays, even if it would depend on operating models along the M1 line, which has a 45 -year -old train fleet.
Regan provides for a “significant leap” on the trains in the north direction from Sydenham to the CBD the mornings on weekdays once Final section of the M1 line Opens next year.
After the opening of the final section of 13 kilometers, the Sydney subway includes about 19,000 trips between the Bankstown stations and the central stations from 8 to 9 and about 13,000 between Bankstown and Sydenham during that period.

The entire line from Bankstown to Tallawong is expected to have about 49,000 trips during the busiest hour of weekdays.
