ECB said there was ability for them to move to HoLy Cross to Wooleowin, which is less than 1 km away, St Columba’s in Wilston and St Ambrose in Newmarket.

A firm date for the opening of the high school still had to be blocked, with pending state approvals.

Already in 2021, St Mary of the Cross declared on his annual plan that he was focused on “Building Isch and marketing to the community”.

The document has listed increase in enrollment and local families who see school as a “option of practicable Catholic school” as a success measures. But total registrations had suspended about 100 in recent years and have been understood that they have dropped to 73.

Since five years – when Catholic colleges like Gregory Terrace and Nudgee begin to take their younger students – the cohorts of the Windsor School have dropped, in some years, to single figures.

While there are dozens of Catholic high schools on Brisbane’s NorthSide, many are single sex and, for some families, prohibitively expensive.

School fees for the Nudgee College, for example-are managed independently and is not part of ECB-cost more than $ 21,000 every year, while the Holy Spirit co-publisher of ECB in Fitzgibbon costs about a third.
