Stars test to take a longer break before the ashes

Australia remain four tests before the ashes. The first is a world test championship against South Africa in June, followed by a series of three tests against Western Indies in the Caribbean. Discussions are underway on the third test in Kingston, Jamaica, being a daytime match.
In the meantime, there will be four rounds of Sheffield Shield scheduled before the ashes to give a wide preparation for Ball Red Ball Australia. The fourth round is likely to take place between the final T20 against India and the first test.
Ca will confirm the dates of domestic fixtures later during the year.
