Swansea City post gross loss of taxes of £ 15.2 million in the last financial accounts

The significant turnover of Swansea’s team in the summer of 2023 was an important factor that contributed to the increase of £ 4 million to £ 47 million in the last financial year.

The club claims to have “invested significantly” in the game team in the financial year in question, with the costs of acquiring the recordings of the players of £ 6 million.

The right -back Josh Key, the attackers Jerry Yates and Mykola Kuharevich, the central defender Kristian Pedersen and the left back Josh Tymon were among the players recruited by the swans after Michael Duff replaced Russell Martin as a coach head.

The figures also include the January 2024 transfer window, during which Swansea signed primarysław płacheta from Norwich City, Ronald of Gremio Anololis and Charles Sagoe Jr on loan from Arsenal.

The latest reports of Swansea – who have yet to be published in full on Companies House – do not include the acquisition of the club last November, which saw Andy Coleman, Brett Cravatt, Nigel Morris and Jason Cohen Buy the actions of the former majority owners Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan.

A club declaration stated: “The Council recognizes that, although the extent of the operational loss is a highly competitive product of the environment within the EFL championship in which the club currently competes, the club will continue to focus on achieving operational efficiency in order to maximize the resources that can be invested in the first team team.

“The management costs of a stadium and two training structures are significant and are growing.

“In the absence of any immediate perspective of a redistribution agreement between the EFL and the Premier League, the club will continue to rely on the support of its ownership group as the main source of financing.”

Duff was fired in the middle of the 2023-24 campaign, with Luke Williams appointed head of the coach in January 2024.

But Williams lasted just over a year in the role, with the current head of the custodian Alan Sheehan who took over the swans for the rest of the current season.
