“We take the safety of all players and participants in the tournament very seriously,” said Miami Open in a note. “We constantly evaluate any potential threat and take every measure to respond appropriately. To ensure the effectiveness of these efforts, we do not disclose the details of our safety operations”.
The World Tennis Association added: “The security of players is our maximum priority. WTA works closely with tournaments and their security teams on best practices for international sporting events to ensure the safety and well -being of all participants.
“There are complete security protocols to make sure that any accidents are promptly and effectively managed. The details of these are not something we discuss publicly, but we are stopped in our commitment to maintain a safe environment for players and all those who attend one of our events.”
