There were suggestions that the teams have developed Walsh, But Hunt rejected those concerns in view of his battle with the Gauls on Friday.

And he hinted that there would have been anything else to come from his combination on the left side of Walsh.

“I think controlled is probably the best word for this,” said Hunt.

“He worked very hard mostly for his defense and got our numbers and got into contrasts when he owes.

“He knows he has the side of the attack of things, we just wanted to work on that (defense) and I think it was excellent for us. He is doing everything Madge asks him.

“I certainly know that he is working on different variants and things he can add to his game. If the teams have solved him they are doing an excellent job, because I think he has offered a lot and his best football for this year is still in front of him.

“In the way we play, we are a little separated on different sides of the field and we have some opportunities in which we get together and play a little, so it’s something we are working on.

“Always keep some things in the rear pocket for some games.”
