The CBP officers accused after presumably taking bribes to shake clandestine immigrants

Two customs officers and protection of US borders have been accused of taking bribes to let people enter the country without showing documents in the most crowded border crossing in America.
The officers of the CBP Farlis Almonte and Ricardo Rodriguez worked in the entrance port of San Ysidro and the public say they say they have letting dozens of vehicles transport Illegal immigrants pass without adequate checks in exchange for thousands of dollars.
According to the documents of the court not sealed on Thursday, investigators found telephone messages between officers and human traffickers in Mexico. They also found large deposits in inexplicable cash in the bank accounts of the officers.

Rodriguez’s lawyer, Michael Hawkins, said that the case is still in the early stages and reminded the public that Rodriguez is alleged innocent. “We can’t wait to work through the current situation,” said Hawkins, calling Rodriguez “laborious and loyal”.
It is not yet clear if Almonte has a lawyer. Over the past two years, five CBP officers in the San Diego area have undergone accusations of similar corruption.

The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), which represents the CBP officers, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s comment request.
