The defender of Arsenal Gabriel to lose the rest of the season with a tendon injury

The defender of Arsenal Gabriel will miss the rest of the season after the club has confirmed that he has requested a knee tendon surgery.
The Brazilian was replaced in the first half of Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Fulham at the Emits Stadium Tuesday.
The former Lille defender started 28 of the 30 games of the Arsenal Premier League in this mandate, helping the club to the best defensive record in the division with 25 goals granted.
Arsenal says that the 27 -year -old aims to return to the action of the first team in time for the beginning of the next season.
“Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure on his knee tendon in the next few days and will immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation program, with the aim of being ready for the start of the next season,” said the club.
Arsenal is second in the Premier League, 12 points behind the Liverpool leaders with eight remaining games.
The Gunners face Real Madrid owners in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team visits north of London on April 8 (20:00 BST), before going to Bernabeu for the second stage on April 16 (20:00 BST.
