The former principal of the coast Tim Petterson in court are bathed for the dismissal

In his statement as a claim, Petterson states that neither Warburton nor other members of the Council have advised or informed Petterson of any unsatisfactory performance on his part “in the exercise of his functions as principal and his general administration of the school”.
Petterson became principal on the ground after seven years as the principal of the Christian School of St Philip in Port Stephens. He started his career as a teacher in the King’s school.
Tim Petterson was the eighth principal of the Shore School.
His dismissal in July 2022 came after the Shore’s advice assumed the consultant Rhonda Brighton-Hall to review the school leadership following concerns raised by teachers, old and parents.
Faced a series of challenges during his mandate, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the “Tripiizard Shorenament” scandal, a Muck-up day joke in which the students of the last year have made points for assaults, violation, taking drugs and other tasks.
Shore, officially known as the Sydney Church of England Grammar School, is one of the oldest schools in the state and was founded by an act of Parliament. The North Sydney School has an annual turnover of $ 88 million.

Warburton, once head of the staff of the former Premier Mike Baird, left the school council at the end of 2023
A source close to the issue previously stated that the review and recommendations were not shared with Petterson.
“This decision is not based on any suggestion of an improper conduct in the part (of Petterson)”, Warburton wrote to parents in July 2022. “However, the Council concluded that in the interests of the unit within the school (which) the renewal of the leadership is required”.
There were also concerns that almost 90 staff members had left school in 2020 and 2021. A school declaration at the time stated that the turnover was consistent for the shore and other schools.

The defense of the school states that the Petterson contract will continue for five years “subject to the termination on a previous date on both sides” and that the plaintiff has been offered a severance indemnity in addition to contractual rights.
A spokesman for the coast declared last year that the school was “saddened” by Petterson’s decision to start the legal action and defended it.
At the end of last year, Shore announced that he had taken Peter Miller, principal of the co-educational The Geelong College of Victoria, to replace Collier as a tenth principal.
