The four players should be exchanged and a couple should chase

Anyone who is associated with being should be disappointed. Frustrated. Angry.

He was talking about the speech, sometimes even walking, but too briefly. Too often they have been shake or imperfect, not the qualities that we or associate with great teams being of the past.

The bombers were missing from steel, resistance and belief and this must change. Success is earned through hard work and commitment, through a correct strategy and execution.

Having a strategy; They started a three -year plan. Brad Scott knows what I wait for success – as a Brisbane player was part of one of the greatest teams in the history of the FL. His coach, Leigh Matthews, is one of the most important figures in the game. Both are strong, both adamble.

But the three -year plan of the bombers should be part of a plan for six to eight years that incorporates the arrival of Tasmania in the competition. A plan that is based on their recent primary attention on the draft.

They had 12 choices within the first two rounds of the AFL national draft since 2020. They have four other selections in the first two rounds this year.

This position takes on an even greater meaning when considering limited access to early draft
Selections caused by the next concessions for the Tassie Devils.

Like Richmond, they were made the right decision to attack the now project. Those who hesitate will suffer – like clubs that have not appropriately planned for the recruitment of concessions granted to the Gold Coast
and GWS since 2009-2012. These decisions were fundamental for the hawthorn that assembles a list of players to compete in four great consecutive finals since 2012-2015.

The strategy of being should be revised, analyzed, performed and then revised. Its development is not linear. It requires careful planning, periodic change and honest evaluation.

No single coach, staff member or manager can be authorized to divert the process: a certain disagreement, even encouraged, is foreseen, but it is essential that coaching teams, players’ development, high performance and lists are aligned.

The bombers have young talents. With the fourth largest list of 2025, their demographic age is distorted towards the future. Another re-bubed are not starting, that the company has been started
More than five years ago.

Twenty changes to the list in the last two years have only accelerated the program. But it is essential that they do not look at their players through a distorted lens: coaches and recruiters often favor their favorite players when success requires the same standards to apply everyone.

They have the nucleus of a successful team: Andrew McGrath and Jordan Ridley in defense, Zach Merrett, Jye Caldwell and Sam Durham in midfield plus Kyle Langford and Nate Caddy in Attack provide solid foundations for the future.

But there are still too many players showing a potential rather than a coherent talent. Good week, poor next. Willing to follow rather than driving. Satisfied to play at AFL level to be the best. Nor infiad, uncompromising or unconditional.

More players must become like their captain and coach – hard and relentless – strong leaders who see the success of the team as their inheritance.

While 2025 is an important step along the road, they must focus on the largest picture: they simply do not have the right staff to win a premiership.

So where from here?

Two statistics from 2025 clearly indicate immediate needs. First of all, to kick the efficiency – ranked in 16th in competition. Secondly, the hard ball is obtained – even in the sixteenth.

Both statistics have been an integral part of the premiership teams in the last 20 years, therefore ignoring them to
Your danger. The bombers need players who can hurt the opposition to the foot and/or win contested
possession under pressure. And players who can stop lines with their disposal.

They were elevated selections of drafts to work an exchange for specific players in 2025: they should firmly eyes on Zak Butters (Port Adelaide) and Harley Reid (West Coast) if they can be convinced to return to Victoria.

Their first draft choices should be spent only to guarantee players of this caliber or to maximize theirs

It is likely that the draft is compromised by the Tassie Devils of 2027, therefore recruiting the best young players available is now even more important. While 2025 does not offer the same depth of talents last year, the draft window is closing, so the selection value will become greater in the next two years.

Likewise, bombers should look for commercial players who are not part of their premiership model.
This does not mean release players at any cost, but being prepared to take a step back to go on
long -term. These choices are sometimes controversial, but they are often difficult decisions
This brings the biggest prizes.

Players to consider:

Sam Draper

As a free agent in 2025, they should try to move it to improve its currency through an AFL compensation or start an exchange to a club that offers the most favorable performance.

Nik Cox against Harrison Jones

Both players have the ability but have fought with an injury. With more “high” in the list, they will compete for a position in the same team. Keep one, move the other.

Darcy Parish

He was unlucky with an injury, but the development of Caldwell and Durham means that it is better to serve in a competing club for a short -term premiership.

Peter Wright

While adding depth to their forward line, the bombers should try to exchange it while still has a limited currency. Not part of their premiership model.

To be, the compromise is not an option. Follow the strategy. Execution is fundamental.
