The International Cricket Council is Task Force to help the displaced women of Afghanistan


The president of ECT Jay Shah added: “We are deeply committed to promoting inclusiveness and ensuring that every cricket player has the opportunity to shine, regardless of their circumstances.

“In collaboration with our esteemed partners, we are proud to launch this Task Force and Support Fund, integrated by a complete high -performance program, to ensure that displaced Afghan crickets can continue their journey into sports.

“This initiative reflects our constant dedication to the global growth of the cricket and its power to inspire units, resilience and hope”.

The ICC requires its members, of which Afghanistan is one, to have a national women’s team, but the men’s team has maintained its test status, has reached the semifinals of the T20 World Cup last year and participated in the Champions Trophy at the beginning of this year.
