The karate referee kicks the football coach in the face



A referee karate kicked a Peruvian football coach who tried to attack him with a plastic bottle.

Luis Alegre was still brandishing a red tag while aiming for his right boot on the jaw of the man who invaded the field in the midst of angry protests in the field.

Alegre’s martial arts style reaction was unleashed by apparent threats of violence while seemed ready to send a member of the Magdalena Cedec bench away.

The clash broke out in the 82nd minute of the Copa Peru match of Huaquillas against Magdalena Cedec in Ancash, north of the Peruvian capital Lima.

Alegre hit while the man ran towards him from the bench of the away team with the plastic bottle in his hand.

The police in the end was forced to be involved as a referee and his watches were surrounded by angry players after the clash.

The television filming showed Alegre initially by pulling out a red card after one of his watches indicated the Magdalena bench.

The referee managed to keep the red card in his left hand while hunting the onrushing coach.

The game was suspended after the accident. It was not immediately clear if the man took football in the face had to be taken to the hospital or if he and the referee would have had to face any disciplinary action.
