The Labor deputy Dan Norris arrested for rape accusations and abuse on minors | Work

The Laborists suspended Dan Norris, a deputy for the North East Somerset and Hanham, after being arrested for suspicion of rape and childish sakes.
Norris, a former Minister of Labor who defeated Jacob Rees-Mogg as a deputy in the General Elections last year, was taken in custody after the police raided his home college on Friday.
The police said he had also been arrested for suspicion of misconduct conducted in public offices.
Norris had previously worked as a deputy for Wansdyke from 1997 to 2010. He became mayor of western England in 2021.
His website of the Electoral College said he trained with the NSPCC and worked as a teacher and responsible for the protection of minors.
The police of Avon and Somerset said: “A man of aging of the sixties was arrested on Friday for suspicion of sexual crimes against a girl (pursuant to the law on the sexual crimes of 1956), rape (pursuant to the law on the sexual crimes of 2003), kidnapping and misconduct conducted in a public office.
“It has been released on conditional deposit for continuous requests. This is an active and sensitive investigation, so we respectfully ask people not to speculate on circumstances so that our investigations can continue without obstacles.
“In December 2024, we received a postponement from another police force relating to alleged sexual crimes of non -recent children who were committed against a girl.
“It is assumed that most of the crimes occurred in the 2000s, but we are also investigating an alleged crime of rape in the 1920s.
“An investigation, conducted by officers within the Bluestone operation, our dedicated rape and the serious team of investigation on sexual aggressions, remains in progress and in an initial phase.
“The victim is supported and has access to any help or specialist support he needs.”
A spokesman for the Labor Party last night said: “Dan Norris’ deputy was immediately suspended by the Labor party after being informed of his arrest.
“We cannot comment further while the police investigations are in progress.”
He also removed the whip of the Labor party in the Chamber of Municipalities.
Norris, 65, is also involved in the dispute for his role as president of the charity anti-chapter body to the League against cruel sports after being accused of victimization of an ex-employee.
He resigned from his role in charity in May of last year.
