The Masters: Rory Mcilroy can manage the pressure of the masters – Shane Lowry

Although attention is on the hopes of Mcilroy’s Grand Slam, Lowry says that he still feels a lot of pressure and winning the masters “would be a very special thing that happens”.

“If it’s not me, I hope he’s,” Lowry said on Mcilroy.

“I spent a lot of time with Rory in recent years, reaching this week (in front of the teachers).

“He won everything there is to win at Golf and I wouldn’t be surprised if he had been able to give him a race this week.

“I think there are a couple of players, that if you end up in front of them, then you will have a chance. It’s one of them.”

Irishman Lowry added that he plans to take “Bull by the Horns” while trying to win his second main title and says that “he feels well” for his game.

“I am enthusiastic for the week. The biggest thing for me this week is that I have to lower my expectations a little and go play and see where it leaves me at the end of the week,” added Lowry.

“I did well during the last time and I put myself in the running, but this does not give me the right to go and do it this week.

“It’s about returning to the bases and seeing what happens.”
