The mayor of Campbelltown responds to the ultimate of $ 50 million last -lastiTum tigers
“We don’t want to lose the tigers. We want them to call Campbeltown their main house and play more games here.
“But it will also have to be a great dependence on all three levels of the government to meet and find money.
“In the past we had some conversations and recently I met Stephen Kamper (Minister of Sport of NSW) – it was a positive conversation, but there were no promises made.
“We don’t feel like we had our right dose of updates to the stadium when considering all updates to the stadiums elsewhere around Sydney.”
The tigers are committed to playing four games in Campbelltown this year and next season, two in Leichhardt, one in Brisbane for Magic Round, and four more in the NSW places, including Allianz Stadium and Commbank Stadium.
Richardson wants an agreement on an update of the stadium in place by June 30, so that he has a lot of time to make alternative agreements if no agreement is available.

The money for Campbelltown would have created seats for a maximum of 24,000 fans and 1500 companies. Richardson said that if the advice engaged in the plan, the tigers would do the same playing a minimum of seven games in the headquarters. The plan would be spending up to $ 100 million in Campbelltown in the next 10 years.
Richardson took an equally difficult position last year when he threatened Leave Leichhardt Oval if the money was not spent on Sydney’s internal-western headquarters. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the premier of the new South Wales Chris Minns subsequently announced a $ 40 million rescue package.
The plan for that money is to have 17,000 to 18,000 seats in Leichhardt and the ability to host up to 1000 companies.
