The six female nations: Aoibheann Reilly states that the injuries of accidents me “will be in the future”

Having to overcome two lesions of the front cruciate ligament (ACL) in the nine -month space would be enough to break the spirit of many sportsmen.
But in the case of Ireland Scrum Half Aoibheann Reilly, he is determined to use his experience of those setbacks to help her navigate in her future Rugby career and give her further incentives.
After initially fighting from his first serious knee injury in the autumn of 2023, the 24 -year -old suffered a second ACL tear in the great ending of the Svns of last summer in Madrid.
That injury broke his hopes of playing for Ireland Sevens in the Paris Olympic Games and Roscommon’s woman returned to competitive action only when she played a role in the Celtic Challenge of Clovers matches at the beginning of March.
Last week Reilly was introduced by the bench to replace Emily Lane to participate in the 25-minute closing of the defeat of Ireland 27-15 by France in their meeting with six opening nations in Belfast.
This week was appointed in the starting training for the match away on Sunday with Italy in Parma.
“I made my right acl the first time and my left the second time. I had nine months of playing in the middle of both. It was mentally very hard, but I knew that once I had obtained my good would be the end of long -term injuries,” explained Reilly.
“Returning from the first, I wanted to go to the Olympics and I also wanted nine jerseys for Ireland in the 15s game. I was really focused on lifting my hand for both teams.
“It was very difficult but I had so many teammates around me to support me and my family was fantastic. Although it was a really difficult moment, it really builds me as a player and builds my resilience.
“It was an experience that I would not have desired to anyone, but I think it will really resist me in the future.”
