The strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake affects Myanmar, with tremors heard in nearby Thailand | Myanmar

An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 hit Myanmar, said the United States Geological Survey (USGS), making hundreds of people pour out of buildings swaying in Bangkok, the capital of the neighbor Thailand 1,400 km away.
USGS said that Friday’s earthquake was superficial, at a depth of only 10 km (six miles) with the epicenter near the central city of Mandalay, about 50 km (30 miles) east of the city of Monywa.
There have been no immediate reports of damage by the earthquake Myanmarwhich is found in a state of chaos after a coup d’état in 2021.
The residents surprised in the center of Bangkok densely populated were poured by condominiums and hotels skyscrapers. The large area of Bangkok houses over 17 million people, many of whom live in skyscrapers.
The earthquake was strong enough to send a water slide from the swimming pools, some high in serious, while the tremore trembles.
“I heard it and I was sleeping at home, I ran as much as possible in pajamas outside the building,” Duangjai told AFP, residing in the famous tourist city Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.
