Todd Boehly Vivid Ticket Web: Chelsea Fan Group asks the Premier League to investigate

The trust of the supporters of Chelsea asked the Premier League to “act and investigate” the involvement of the co -owner Todd Boehly on the Vivid Seats website.
In an open letter to the CEO of the League Richard Masters, the group reiterates a past complaint that Boehly’s involvement in vivid seats as director and investor – while possessing a 13% participation in Chelsea – is a “violation of trust” and “a clear conflict of interest”.
It also underlines how listed Vivid is as an “unauthorized ticket office website” by the Premier League, allowing the overseas fans to buy tickets not officially for £ 90 and £ 20,000.
CST also presented evidence against American society at the Government Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
In the letter, he said: “Many CST members are clearly infuriated from this connection and have written us.
“As director of Chelsea FC and in part, Boehly connection with vivid seats is totally inappropriate and significantly undermines the efforts of the Chelsea FC, the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police to fight the ticket.
“Mr. Boehly was contacted directly by the CST and multiple opportunities were offered to face both public and private supporters concerns.
“Neither Boehly nor did its representatives acted on these requests and thousands of tickets remain on sale on the Vivid Seats website.”
Chelsea’s official website states that the practice of “the propagation of the ticket is illegal” and all the tickets purchased not officially will be “unrealized”, with the fans “has refused entry to the stadium”.
Vivid is legally allowed to operate abroad but forbidden for UTI of the United Kingdom users. However, the BBC Sport has been able to verify that the website allows users based in the United Kingdom to buy tickets, despite a declaration of non-pop-up responsibility “tickets for EPL matches are not currently available for purchase in your position”.
Chelsea, Boehly and Vivid representatives were contacted for comments by BBC Sport.
The CST letter, which was also supported by the Association of Football Associations, added that it was “encouraged” by the club who committed himself to acting on the ticket appointment. An e -mail has been sent to the owners of subscriptions that describe in detail a series of measures, even if Without nominating vivid seats or other ticket dealers.
There have been concerns on a “flat” atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, previously highlighted by the previous manager Mauricio Pochettino and echoed by the current coach Enzo Maresca sometimes in this season.
Chelsea will continue to try a new singing section in the next match in Europe Conference League against Legia Warsaw next month.
