Trump marks the executive order that requires proof of citizenship to vote in the elections

President Trump has signed an executive order Tuesday who will require proof of the citizenship of the United States on electoral forms, in an aggressive push to capture and fight the fraud of the voters, who is extremely rare but constantly mentioned by Mr. Trump as a reason why he lost the 2020 elections.

THE order Requests for the commission for electoral assistance to request people to show the test issued by the government of citizenship of the United States to register to vote on the federal elections and directs state or local officials to record and verify the information. He also tries to request states to count cards within the day of the elections.

Administration officials, who launched the order as one of the most vast in American history relating to the elections, have illegally mentioned on immigrants on voters as one of the main objectives of the order, amplifying the long grievance of Trump on electoral integrity. He erroneously said that illegal votes contributed to his loss of the 2020 elections and popular vote in 2016.

The order stated that the current rules that prohibited the states of allowing non -citizens to register to vote were not “adequately applied” and suggested that the elections were also compromised by the states that counted the cards received after the day of the elections.

This is a standard practice in states that require that mail cards are only stamped since the day of the elections. But also in the weeks following his decisive victory in November, Trump continued to complain that the cards were still counted.

The order threatens to withdraw federal funding in states that are not compliant.

“Free, right and honest elections not confirmed by fraud, errors or suspicions are essential to maintain our constitutional republic,” said the order. “The right of American citizens to have their votes correctly counted and tabulated, without illegal dilution, is vital to determine the legitimate winners of an election.”

At the signature, Mr. Trump – who still falsely claims to have won the 2020 elections – observed that some may not understand why he was complaining since he won “in a landslide” last year.

“There are other steps that we will take like the next few weeks and we think we will be able to end up obtaining Eque elections,” Trump said on Tuesday at the signing. “This country is so sick because of the elections, false elections and bad elections and we will straighten it in one way or another.”
