Vikings GM: The team had conversations with Aaron Rodgers, but comfortable with QB Room

The General Manager of Minnesota Vikings Kwesi Adofo-Comcen’s revealed during a press conference on Wednesday that the coach head Kevin O’Connell was in contact with the Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, keeping a door open for Rodgers while the League awaits one of the last domino of the QB to fall before the April project.
“He has an excellent relationship with Aaron,” said Adofo-Mecenh when he was asked if he or O’Connell had direct interviews with the 41-year-old Rodgers. “They had many conversations. He made the rounds of us. We met and went from there. It is a new thing to talk about a player of that caliber. They are always someone who wants to learn and grow alone, so being involved in those dialogues was really special.
“You’re talking about a player that Kevin knows a lot of time,” added Adofo-Mecen. “When you have such a relationship, they are generally the type that is, how, hey, anyone with the best relationship, speaks with them.” If they are like Dork Elvis, Kevin is like the type of boy to taste Elvis.
The comments arrived a day after the Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy appeared on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams and mentioned it Minnesota has not yet appointed the quarterback. McCarthy, who lost his 2024 Rookie season after suffering a meniscus torn in the pre -hexon, claims to be “100 %” and to remain at the rehabilitation process in view of the 2025 season. Minnesota currently has McCarthy and Brett Rypien as the only two quarterbacks in the roster.
In January Kevin O’Connell was asked if Jj McCarthy was the appetizer or not. He didn’t answer directly – it’s January before any training, so why should he? However, it is very clear and McCarthy seems to know: it must have a good spring and a summer in all aspects. https://t.co/rw22wmlrpr

Rodgers was connected to three different teams after his release from the New York Jets: the Vikings, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants. Tuesday, the giants removed themselves from the conversation of Signature Russell Wilson, Steelers’ former Quarterback to a one -year contract of $ 21 million.
While Adofo-Mecenh clarified that the team is happy with where they are in the position of the quarterback, he left the door open to the conversations with Rodgers to continue.
“I think we arrived in a place where everyone was transparent,” said Adofo-quiteh. “But at this moment, we feel good for where we are going. It is just like that. In the end it depends on him. It is difficult to talk about a player who is not under contract for our team, and who is not a member of this team. In the end, it is to do with the operators, to do his future. Now, and my staff process in the future.”
“For me sit here and say that everything is 100 % forever, it is not the job. We are responding to different scenarios and information as they come. Things can change. At this moment, we are really happy with our room and we will try to update it in different ways. For now, we are really enthusiastic.”
Rodgers ended the 2024 season with 3,897 passing yard, 28 touchdown and 11 interceptions in 17 games, publishing its percentage of lower completion (63.0 percent) from 2019. A year removed from the tear of its Achilles in the opening of the 2023 season, he showed flashing as a General Sales and the General Saleh and the General Saleh, he showed. Lampering for General Saleh and General Saleh and General Saleh, he showed flashing light for General Saleh and General Saleh and General Saleh.
