World Athletics approves the one -officable admissibility test for athletes who wish to compete in the female category

In March 2023, World Athletics prohibited the transgender athletes who had crossed male puberty from competing in the women’s female category.

Last month, however, a world athletics working group recommended a revision of the eligibility rules for female male translets, based on new tests that said that there is a “significant performance gap before the start of puberty”.

The current rules for DSD athletes, in the meantime, require them to reduce testosterone levels below 2.5 Nmol/L for at least six months to compete in any women’s category event at an international level.

The world athletics now unites the regulations for both DSD athletes and transgender after the working group has said that new tests have shown that the suppression of testosterone “can only mitigate the male general advantage in athletic sport”.

World Athletics said that the supplier, the process and the Sry pre-slip time sequence will be agreed “in the coming weeks”.

Coe created the “protective” suitability of the female category a key component of his offer to be elected president of the International Olympic Committee.

However, Coe arrived third In the Cio elections at the beginning of this month while Kirsty Coventry won 49 of the 97 votes available to become the first female and African president.

Coe said Tuesday: “It is important to do it because he maintains everything we have talked about, and above all recently, not only to talk about the integrity of women’s sport, but to guarantee actually.

“We believe that this is a really important way to provide confidence and maintain absolute attention on the integrity of the competition”.
